“Remembering We’re Alive” wins national music award.
“Remembering We’re Alive” was commissioned by Bruce Koliha and composed by SRVC member and composer Martin Rokeach. The piece was performed in the SRVC 2025 Spring Concert as a world premiere. Sacramento State’s annual nation-wide competition for new compositions, the Festival of New American Music, which received more than 230 submissions in four categories, selected this piece as the winner in the choral category. Seeking Part-Time Music Director For Lutheran Church in Layfayette
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (OSLC) is a Reconciling in Christ congregation in Lafayette, California—an inclusive and welcoming community about 22 miles east of San Francisco. We are seeking a part-time Music Director (or combination of positions) to support and lead the musical life of our congregation. This person (or team) will collaborate closely with the pastor and volunteers to plan and lead music for worship that deepens spiritual connection and engages the whole community. Depending on gifts and availability, this role may be divided into: Pianist/Accompanist/Organist, Choir Director, Bell Choir Director. Each position may be filled individually or combined.
